Top Question of the Week:
This week’s top question is a farmer wondering about applying fulvic acid with his fungicides. Here is what the farmer asked:
“I have been hearing about the benefits of applying fulvic acid foliar applied and how it can increase fungicide and foliar nutrient efficiency among other benefits. I want to try mixing in fulvic acid with my fungicides next season. I have been using a non-ionic surfactant with my applications. If I mix in fulvic acid, should I also use a non-ionic surfactant? From what I have read, fulvic acid acts like a surfactant. Does anyone have any experience with this?”

Featured Platform Partner:
Keg River has become one of North America’s most trusted suppliers of sulfur bentonite fertilizers. They’ve made it their goal to produce the highest quality bentonite sulfur products on the market.
1998 is when Keg River opened up their fertilizer production plant in Edmonton, Alberta. That year they released their first fertilizer, Keg River Nutrasul 90. Following the release of Keg River Nutrasul 90, they also produced the industry’s first 15% bentonite clay product (0-0-0-85). This product increased the clay content by 50% to improve degradability and pastille quality. This product was sold as the Keg River Supreme 85.
In 2011 is when they rebuilt and expanded their production facility, and also added a state-of-the-art covered bulk loading facility.
In 2020 is when they dedicated part of their operation to organic product production and rebranded their product line. Nutrasul 90 becomes Keg90S™. Supreme 85 becomes Keg85S™. Blended AMS products are marketed as Keg60S+ and Keg50S+.
They made it their mission to produce a product that will help their customers achieve the highest yields, with maximum safety to the plant, and the applicator.
Degradable bentonite sulfur plays an increasingly important role in agriculture as the world searches for ways to increase food production. It has the advantage of being high analysis, low cost, and seed safe – with minimal loss from leaching. It’s also one of the best products for lowering soil pH, from both cost and logistical standpoints.
Keg River’s goal is to not just help the producer and the soil, but to also be leaders in bettering food production across North America. They strive to be leaders in increasing food production globally, while preserving soil health, and lowering input costs.
Their products can be found across 30 different states or provinces. If you want to learn more about what Keg River can offer you on your operation, reach out to Jim Tutorow, Scott Schuster, Daryl Schuster, or Brooke Batemen in the app today.
